Lisa-Roberts-Scott

Lisa Roberts-Scott has spent the past 25 years as a professional singer, performer, teacher and mentor. She began her career as a cabaret artist working in London, Japan and Monte Carlo at the age of 18. Lisa sang for many years in the Melbourne Jazz scene, recorded and performed original contemporary music, had a brief stint as a stockbroker before going on to perform operatic roles in Australia and overseas. Lisa is recognized as a Queen Elizabeth II Music Scholar, receiving 3 consecutive scholarships from the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust to study in Italy, where she remained for 8 years. Lisa has run singing studios in Melbourne, Sydney and Hobart as well as conducting countless vocal workshops. Recently, Lisa sought to develop the scope of her teaching by creating the Voicefulness approach.

“After many years of working with singers I developed a desire to work with the entire person and not just the technical aspects of the voice. The voice is intrinsically connected to personal identity and self-esteem and using meditation and encouraging self-acceptance is an amazingly efficient way to teach natural singing while enhancing inner calm and personal happiness.”

Currently Lisa runs Revolve Arts Singing studio, is musical director for Group Noise Rock Choir, conducts Voicefulness workshops and is completing a Bachelor of Psychological Science. She is also the mother of two, sings a lot, and practices yoga and daily Vipassana meditation.
